Under the eaves of a classic Santos building, this newly renovated top-floor flat looks out over Lisbon's terracotta rooftops to the Tagus. The heart of it is one open, light-filled room — a white kitchen with a Smeg bean-to-cup coffee machine, a long wooden table, a sofa tucked under the slope of the roof — plus two calm bedrooms and a little window room made for two stools, a glass of wine and the view. Santos is Lisbon's design district: the riverside, Cais do Sodré and the Time Out Market are a short walk downhill, the trams and the Cascais-line train stop a few minutes away, and the whole city is yours on foot. Sleeps four, with fibre fast enough to work from, for stays of five nights or more.
